Hi. Sorry to impose, but I read the first twenty or so chapters of one of your stories here: http://www.oocities.com/taliasen1256/wk.html
. I hadn't realized until I got to the end that it wasn't all there. I was enjoying it very much and would like to finish it, if you'll allow me. I checked the archive listed here and ff.net, but couldn't find the story on either site. Thanks.
which story is it, your link brings up the main story list from geocities(rip)
I've friended you so you should be able to trawl through the archives here
if you go to my page directly with the lady with the black apple by clicking on my user name it will have a link list at the top of the page, one of the subsections there is weiss kreuz
it should make it easier to find, I'm thinking you want white butterfly which is STILL ongoing but I might be wrong
or it might be Cloths of Heaven which i deliberately removed after rewriting it as an original
but if it is the one you're looking for, let me know and I'll arrange for the last chapters to be posted for you
Oh, yay--I wasn't expecting an answer so quickly. Thank you.
It was, as you guessed, White Butterfly. I'd planned to send feedback when I was thorugh, but since I'm here, I wanted to tell you how I admire your scene-setting skills. It's an interesting story, and I'm finding the politics intriguing; I'm looking forward to seeing how they twist and turn. The actual relationship might be somewhat off-putting in a more modern day setting, but you've stayed true to the age and atmosphere of the times in which you've set your story, and I think that's very brave. Even with the powerplays going on between the two protagonists, the reader can see the validity of the growing relationship. I was able to read up until the chapter where Crawford announces his wife's pregnancy, so I'm looking forward to seeing how his own personal politics affect the greater political world in which he moves.
I had actually been eyeing up Cloths of Heaven to read next--I much prefer long stories. Have you re-written it for publishing purposes? I would love to have it in either fanfic or original fic form, but if it's for sale, I'd be happy to pony up for it. ;) I've actually never seen Weiss Kreuz (I'm currently writing the last chapters of a novel, also set in ancient Japan, and involving assassins, and one of my test-group readers told me the temperament one of my protagonists resembled Aya from the anime, so I got curious, went hunting and found you), so I have no objection to reading the story without the WK names, etc.
I've just checked, and the friending has not come through yet, but when I've been able to finish what you've written of White Butterfly, you'll likely hear more from me RE: feedback. And please do let me know about Cloths of Heaven. I enjoy your work, so I'd be pleased to have both.
you can get Cloths of Heaven on Amazon (please excuse me whilst i fan myself, that never gets old) I publish under the name Tessa Buxtonhttp://www.amazon.com/Cloths-of-Heaven-ebook/dp/B003IHW1PO/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&m=A7B2F8DUJ88VZ&s=digital-text&qid=1274749774&sr=8-3
i keep threatening to convert white butterfly actually, when i finish it, and it's third on a rather scary list, i just keep adding chapters here and there, I'll probably finish it before it comes up.
CoH is a normal european fantasy
i don't know any other samurai fanfics, probably because the glossary scared them off (help yourself to mine if you need to - the words just don't translate)
I have just read Guy Gavriel Kay's Under Heaven which is set in the Chinese equivalent and is stupendous and political (the man should have me on retainer, at the drop of a hat I will wax lyrical about him - his books taught me politics)
but there is a manga called Shigurui (available on mangafox and as an anime now) it's very violent but is the bloodfeud or deathfrenzy (the title) of two men who were as close as brothers in a dojo in that period based on actual events
it's very slow and it's not finished in japan yet but it might help
also if you check the notes page there is a link to the complete original text of madame butterfly which might help you too
Wow, that's quite nice of you, thank you. But I said it wrong--the one I'm writing isn't actually set in Japan; it's on another world entirely, and only based on Japanese culture. I'm going for the feel of it, but not actually using any of the language.
Now, Cloths of Heaven--I have to ask you a stupid, Luddite question: if I buy the Kindle edition, do I have to have a Kindle to read it with? I've been resisting the whole e-book thing--I so prefer to hold a book in my hands; even stories I get off the internet, I paste them into a .doc and print them. In other words: I don't own a Kindle and hope to never find it necessary to buy one. So, will the book just load onto my laptop?
please excuse me whilst i fan myself, that never gets old
Hee. I imagine not. My first isn't out for months, but I nonetheless found myself nearly hyperventilating when the marketing package I received from the publisher mentioned 'your Amazon author's page'. *snort* Congratulations on your success. And I'll likely buy several from your page, if you tell me I don't actually need a Kindle to do it.
One last thing--the friending still hasn't come through, and I still can't get into White Butterfly. Are you sure you did it, or is lj screwing up?
Ah, I didn't even think to look for the print one. *points to icon* Thank you. *buys* And thanks for the friending. Am looking forward to finishing up what you've got posted tonight. And look--side stories! \o/

wishing you the most joyous of seasons
Hi!! I just wanted to stop by and say ~
♥ Happy Birthday!! ♥
I hope that you have a day full of all that you wish for!! (｡◕‿◕｡)
I've read several of your stories and enjoyed them - thank you very much for sharing your hard work.
I was actually not motivated to post because I owed you feedback, however true that is - I was planning on reading your girl:dean/Cas verse which somebody just recced, and in bouncing around found your AO3 comment - the link you have posted doesn't actually go to your page - at this point in time, at least. This one should workhttp://archiveofourown.org/users/seraphim_grace/pseuds/seraphim_grace
Hi, please add me so I can finish reading some of your great fictions. Think you.
